The Rest speakeasy was one of the top cocktail bars I’ve ever visited. It was hands down the best drink I had in Utah actually. The perfect combination of flavors that you’d think wouldn’t work together but find a way to balance each other in every drink.

I didn’t eat there but everything I saw passing me by looked delicious.

Wow! Went to The Rest speakeasy, and it felt like we were going back in time to a secluded secret club downstairs that no one knows about. The ambiance is by far the selling point to this place. The whiskey flight is awesome and can be customized as they make their own bitters. Definitely some of the best we'll crafted cocktails around! The food. Whew, everything was delicious with such unique flavors. We couldn't decide on appetizers, so we ordered a charcuterie board and a few things that all popped to life with every bite. The carrots were amazing! Then, the service was out of this world. So informative and friendly. Loved our time here as it made for the most romantic date night.

I made a reservation in the restroom for a friend’s bachelorette party. We were placed in a private room in the back. The vibes were sooooo good. Our waitress was super personable and on top of things. The cocktails served are pricier than the ones upstairs but the presentation and quality felt much nicer. The food options are all on the pricier side and we weren’t sure what the portions looked like, so we ordered two 4 person charcuterie boards for 7 people. There was a good variety/amount on both platters.

ITS SO FREAKING COOL!! I truly appreciated the decor in the Rest being a Coloradan! We walked into Bodega and asked for the Rest. We had to wait about 15 min then we're escorted downstairs. It was really cool and this place was a great stop. Definitely worth checking out!
The cozy, warm ambiance in the Rest was very refreshing from crowded loud bars.

We got the whiskey flight, and the bartender also made me an "allergy friendly" drink. I told our waitress the kind of things I liked and the bartender made a surprise, super cool and loved that they paid attention! The food was good as well. Not a huge meal but its good for snacking on something classy with a drink.

We went to The Rest downstairs. It's so amazing! Really great vibe and delicious food. Their specialty cocktails were incredible, and they will even come up with a new drink just for you. If you get a chance to go, you should.

This place looks absolutely amazing. I love the contrast between the almost tacky Bodega and the perfectly warm delicately decorated The Rest.

Our host was super friendly and took great care of us. Such a nice vibe there, with great music coming from the vinyl player all evening.

Only downside was that the menu legend suggested vegan options but there were none. One or two appetizers could be modified by removing cheese, but there was just one entree that was vegetarian only.

Food was outstanding and looked absolutely fabulous the way it was served. High quality and very tasty. Cocktails (also non-alcoholic) were interesting and very pretty as well.

Real nice experience of a classy speakeasy.

Went to The Rest for dinner and while I think the restaurant has a really nice concept I unfortunately felt like they fell flat. Ended up coming here at 9PM the night before and was told that they stopped seating downstairs- the upstairs bar tender was really unorganized and offered hot dogs, then quickly changed their mind and said they don’t have anything- next night we got reservations and were escorted downstairs to a charming dining room that follows the “speakeasy” feeling everyone mentions. Our waiter spoke about asking him on flavor profiles but then wasn’t able to steer me in a direction when I told him my usual go-tos. He ended up recommending a dessert wine, upon getting it- it was a deep and bitter cherry port, which was not what I was looking for at all. Their chicken is good, but the asparagus that came with it wasn’t trimmed and you could only take a bite of the top before it getting woody. I agree with other reviews that the environment is charming- for the price it should be better quality.
