I like this gym, it has the necessary equipment and large spaces. Some exercise machines don’t work correctly and there are not enough dumbbells for small weights from 0.5 to 10 kg. So beautiful lighting ?

I recently joined Speakeasy Gym and couldn’t be happier with my decision! The facility is top-notch, with a great variety of equipment and a clean, well-maintained environment. But what truly sets this gym apart is the exceptional service. Maricela at the front desk is amazing—she’s always welcoming, professional, and ready to assist with anything you need. Whether it’s helping with membership details or just greeting you with a smile, Maricela makes every visit a pleasure. Her outstanding customer service truly enhances the overall experience at Speakeasy Gym. Highly recommend this place!

The gym presents a spacious and stylish environment, with a plethora of equipment ensuring minimal wait times for users. An impressive abundance of restrooms, paired with the luxury of a sauna room, amplifies the facility's upscale feel. However, there are operational shortcomings: a scarcity of water refill stations compromises convenience, while the neglectful etiquette of not re-racking free weights diminishes the otherwise pristine ambiance. The absence of 2.5lbs plates is a noticeable gap in the equipment roster, potentially hampering fine-tuned weight adjustments for serious trainers. Overall, while the gym impresses in its aesthetics and scale, there's room for improvements in functionality and user discipline.

I joined this gym earlier this year, after being a member at different big name gyms, and this gym tops them all. Its clean, has so much equipment to get a workout in. I tend to avoid peak times (like any other gym) and I'm able to get a 60-90 minute workout. Marcela helped me resolve a payment issue and set me up for the monthly fee waiver 🙂 The staff is nice and friendly overall every time I come in.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM!!! I wish I could give negative stars. THIS GYM WILL SCAM YOU! Myself and a few people I know were told our contracts were for a specific term but we were actually put into year contracts without our permission. If you try to cancel they WILL ignore your calls and give you false information. Even when you go in and have someone do it physically and buy it out upfront, they will say it's cancelled but it's actually isnt, then they will continue to ignore you. I checked online to make sure and it still said it will charge me on auto renew even after I went in person and was told it will 100% be cancelled and that I would receive an email confirming that. I never received the email obviously. I was just charged for the months remaining but no cancellation was put through so if I didn't check, it would have renewed. I put in another cancellation request after that online since the payment was made and even now it is still pending and wont cancel. They are ignoring all of my calls and now I will have to go in AGAIN. This is absolutely absurd and disgusting behavior.

Not to mentioned they constantly change their price, so they may charge you 30 a month or 40 but on their website it'll be around 14 or even 10 l've seen.

Their "buddy pass" is extra money and and only good for the weekends. They WILL add that to a different contract without you knowing as they did to me, They'll also try to get you to buy an additional membership instead of the "buddy pass" DON'T DO IT. I did and as I mentioned, they put that into a year contract I did NOT approve and told me it was month to month and I could cancel any time, obviously not true.

In addition to all that, the bathrooms are always dirty, it's always extremely crowded at any time of day, even 10pm. The one singular good thing is that they do have decent equipment but they're always taken because it's so busy and sometimes they're broken.

IMPORTANT: if you're a woman please be careful because one of the staff members will start uncomfortably hugging you if you're just being nice and greeting them at the desk as you pass on the way in.

I originally rated this gym 4 stars due to some issues I faced, (same thing as what people mentioned below) However, the exceptional staff is what changed my rating to 5 stars. The facilities are well-maintained. Incredible staff. They handle any issues with professionalism. today (7/29) I had an issue with the gyms management and wanted to speak to the manager, but Stephany resolved it quickly. She was not only incredibly professional and attentive but also went above and beyond to ensuring my problem was fixed. Along with her coworker, who worked with her during that time, they were both very supportive and contributed to a smooth and pleasant experience.

I’m from south of LA and I go out of my way to come here. Great equipment, lighting, great staff and vibes as well. I would highly recommend this gym if you are in the La County. I love bringing my friends from out of town here for a gym sesh.

If I could rate the customer service at this place a -0 I would . The gym is nice and all of that , clean , etc . However , the front desk people are rude , have an attitude and absolutely not helpful at all . I was talked into getting a membership which was never mentioned to me that it was yearly . I only went about 10 times , I asked if they could lower the price since I’m not going everyday . They obviously didn’t and I didn’t mind it so I kept getting charged monthly , I was charged for the yearly fee when I got my membership however , I also got charged the beginning of the year tho I was charged already . You guys need to communicate with your customers that this will happen if they get their membership before the year ends , let them know they will be charged twice ! What really pissed me off is the girl at the front desk who I called , on the day that I checked my bank account and noticed a charge of speakeasy on my bank . Keep in mind , she just told me my membership was done . And guess what ? They still charged me tho my subscription had expired , they took money out of my bank without my PERMISSION. And do you think they were like “ we will refund you “ no this person , told me “ sorry there’s no refunds , there’s no customer service we are customer service “ absolutely no , scammers . So would I ever recommend this place ? No , just go to 24hr fitness , it’s a better bet . Sooo goodbye speakeasy y’all suck with your customer service towards your members ! And teach your employees to be polite and to leave their nasty attitude at home .
