My partner and I participated in the Harry Potter night at the tunnel, as this was also our first time there and our anniversary weekend. As someone who enjoys speakeasies and is a fellow bartender I was hoping for a way better experience. It was pricey and lack luster. We maybe spent 60$ for a single cocktail and the choose 3 for $35 app that wasn’t even worth it, plus the fee we paid online for our “reservation” where you’re not even guaranteed a place to sit. The drink I had was good but nothing special. I would’ve liked if they had taken time to curate a unique cocktail list instead of pulling from traditional drinks. It would’ve added a bit more individuality to their brand.

For me, I feel like the hidden aspect of the tunnel was also missed. As we got a text with a code and instructions with no actual mystery. You walk down the stairs behind the bookcase and greeted by the host who checks you in, and again, I’m a huge fan of speakeasy’s and the host is normally there to paint an image of what you’re about to step into and that wasn’t the case. The “tunnel” portion of the bar is a huge miss for me and lost opportunity to be a bit more interactive and engaging than what it was, in reality it was just an empty hallway. And yes I know there’s meant to be clues hidden around but I feel like there should be more to it. I definitely could’ve gotten the same experience from any other bar and didn’t bother to stay for the entire hour and a half as there felt no purpose to. On a positive note the lounge area was furnished beautifully and the drink I had was good. I don’t think I’ll be back unless there’s major creative changes made.

Visited The Tunnel on a Friday night . I was really looking forward to it because it’s always booked for reservations , so I wanted to see what the hype was about .
I loved the initial mystery of it , and really liked the secret entrance . Upon entrance I was expecting some sort of direction to begin the scavenger hunt for clues , but we didn’t receive any of that . It was slightly crowded , we had to wait for someone to get up so we could sit , and there was also a line for drinks .
I had a Paper Plane , and my husband had an Old Fashioned . My drink was really good , he enjoyed his , but mentioned it was pre-made . We didn’t get anything to eat , the small plates we saw didn’t really peak our interest. Overall …. It’s a good experience and ambience, a different vibe for Baton Rouge . I’d recommend you try it out for yourself .

It was a wonderful experience! The ambience is serene and the spirits were delicious! Yes, there is a 21% gratuity added automatically, but we read it in the website so we were already prepared for that. We will definitely return multiple times within the near future!

The Tunnel is a nice, cozy lounge area. The atmosphere is quite relaxing. The drinks served are made to perfection, and the charcuterie boards are a great addition.
I would only add... utensils. We were told these were Finger foods, and they didn't have any. I use a fork for nearly everything.

Unique, fun, true speakeasy experience I suggest everyone try!
Our service was top-notch. The bartender was knowledgeable and approachable. The cocktails were 5 stars.
The business was clean and welcoming with a 1920s-1930s vibe.
The bummers of the night were that while down in The Tunnel we did not have a cell phone signal and the reservation only lasted 2 hours. The Tunnel was fun and we could have spent several more hours down there having an upscale, grand time.

I went to the tunnel with some friends for Halloween it was such an unpleasant experience since we got there till we left. We waited 30 min for the valet to be late to our reservations. Then waited another 30 for them to not even use the text system for valet. The worker was rude and kept complaining they had to find my car. We used half our reservation time waiting for drinks. There are tons of better options downtown with better service. Don’t use the valet, skip the dead lobby, the front desk help won’t help you. Good luck.

No signage explaining the drink prices left with a big surprise, but no itemized receipt given means I tipped twice after not being informed that gratuity was already included.

Honestly a great atmosphere and the band (2 Domestic 1 Import) was incredible, but the whole experience left a very sour taste in my mouth.

I think Baton Rouge needed an experience like this. It is unique a steeped in history. It really brings out vibes of a secret speakeasy. Its really a unique experience. The drinks and small plate were great. The old fashion was great. We really enjoyed the ambiance and the story of the place. The only thing is the clues in the tunnel were difficult to figure out because they were sort of random and didnt connect in anyway. But the whole concept was a success and look forward to being able to return and hopefully figureing out the rest of the clues.
